Education and Experience:
Suzanne (Suzie) Pierce has over 30 years of health care experience with many years in management and leadership roles. In 2008 she was named (Agility Health) Director of the rehabilitation center at Mecosta County Medical Center (MCMC) in Big Rapids, MI. In 2013 she transitioned to Administrator of Inpatient Rehabilitation Units for Spectrum Health (SH) which retained the Big Rapids unit along with the addition of leading a newer 30 bed unit at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. During her time at MCMC/SH, she led the teams to improved performance, receiving Uniformed Data Systems (UDSmr) 2010-2012 award named as one of the Top 10% Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities in the Nation for nearly 800 facilities. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science of Nursing from Ferris State University and Associates Nursing Degree through Lake Superior State College in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Business Administration degree.

“Involvement in the communities we serve is very important to me,” says Suzie. For 25 years, she served on the Ambassadors Committee at the Mecosta County Area Chamber of Commerce along with serving on many other Mecosta County and Big Rapids advisory committees. She is also a member of the American Nurses Association, Michigan Nurses Association, Case Management Society of America, and the American Football Coaches Wives Association. Suzie has been married to Jeff Pierce (Northwood University Football Coach) for the past 30 years and has two sons.
